Hounds Town signs deal for first Loudoun location

Hounds Town is a national pet spa, boarding, and daycare chain for dogs — and now it is entering the Northern Virginia market with a Loudoun County location.

The brand has signed a lease for 5,100 s.f. endcap space at the Dulles Market Square retail center at Old Ox Road and Overland Drive.

That’s the same center next to IAD with the Ultrazone Laser Tag and a McDonald’s.

“The daycare, spa, and boarding services at Hounds Town ensure every dog has their day,” the brand’s website reads in part. “Because we’re not here to teach old dogs new tricks, we’re here to let them be their good old selves.”

According to the Hounds Town website, they also offer pet boarding for cats too — in a separate location away from the pups.

Hounds Town was founded in 2000 by a former police officer and canine handler. Today, the brand has nearly 100 locations open or in the works across the country.

Besides the Dulles location here in our area, there is also one in the works for Newport News, Virginia.

Billy Kelly and Forrest Morrill from KLNB represented the landlord in the Hounds Town deal and Alex Willner from KLNB represented the Hounds Town brand and its local franchisee.
