It looks the restaurant chain Falafel Inc. has a site picked out for its first Loudoun County location. Based on research done by Burn operatives, Ashburn Farm will likely be the new restaurant’s home.
Here’s what we know: the former Wells Fargo bank building in the Ashburn Farm Village Center was purchased early this year by Ahmad Ashkar and the Ladaam Familiy LLC.
Ashkar just happens to be the owner of the Falafel Inc. chain which has at least eight locations in the region.
Now, just a few days ago, a building permit was issued by Loudoun County to turn the former bank building into a falafel restaurant.
The plans we saw call for a dining room with seating for approximately 72 guests.
As readers of The Burn know, last month we got confirmation that Falafel Inc. was planning a store in Ashburn — but at the time, they declined to confirm the Ashburn Farm Village Center building was the spot.
So let’s recap — the Falafel Inc. brand is planning an Ashburn restaurant and Falafel Inc. owner Ahmad Ashkar owns the former Wells Fargo bank building in Ashburn Farm and a permit has been issued to turn that building into a new falafel restaurant.
That’s pretty solid proof that we have uncovered where Ashburn’s new Falafel Inc. restaurant is going. If we’re wrong, we’ll eat a hat made out of falafel.
Stay tuned — we’ll keep you posted as we get more information. In the meantime, you can check out the Falafel Inc. menu below.
