Construction crews are hard at work on the new Whole Foods store coming soon to Reston.
They’ve gutted the 43,000 s.f. former Best Buy space at the Spectrum at Reston Town Center development and are installing utility conduits and other in-the-ground infrastructure needed for a supermarket.
The Whole Foods store is planning on moving from its longtime location at the Plaza America shopping center to the new spot located next door to a Container Store.
The Burn was the first media outlet to report plans for the move — way back in November 2022 — so it was good to see work get underway this summer.

The next big question on the Reston retail scene — what new tenant will take over the vacant supermarket space at Plaza America. It’s one of the main anchor spaces in the center — so stay tuned.
