The new Chicken Salad Chick coming to the Highway 50 corridor in Fairfax opens on Wednesday — and The Burn got a sneak peek at the new restaurant today.
And we’ve got some news to break too. Read on…
An enthusiastic staff shared samples of the brand’s famous 12 types of chicken salad this afternoon — including sweet, fruity, savory, and spicy versions.
On today’s visit, we sampled ones we hadn’t tried before — including the Classic Carol, an all-white meat with minced celery, mayonnaise, and a secret seasoning; the Barbie-Q with a hickory smoked BBQ flavor; the Fancy Nancy with apples, grapes, and pecans; and the Buffalo Barclay, a spicy hot wing-inspired concoction.
Regular readers know this is the second Northern Virginia location for the growing national chain which has more than 260 outlets. The first one in our region opened in August in Falls Church.
The official grand opening of the new Fairfax store — located at 13057 Lee Jackson Memorial Highway in the Greenbriar Town Center shopping plaza — is scheduled for this Wednesday, November 20 at 10 a.m.
With its name and its decor, the brand leans into its reputation as a place popular with many women — but we had to laugh at some signs posted in the mens restroom telling them its OK to like the restaurant too.
We were pleased to hear that a third Chicken Salad Chick location is in the works in Northern Virginia — the exact location is yet to be announced.
And big news for our Loudoun County readers — the local franchisee tells us they have added Loudoun to their territory and will be looking for locations there as well.
