Loudoun’s latest Chipotle restaurant — featuring a “Chipotlane” drive-thru pick-up lane — is expected to open before the end of the year.
We’re talking about the Chipotle that is currently under construction at the Dulles Landing shopping center.
That’s the Walmart-anchored center near the intersection Route 50 and Loudoun County Parkway in the South Riding area.
The signs have gone up at the store and a worker tells us construction is nearly complete. Once the building is turned over to Chipotle, the new team can come in and start getting ready for opening.
We reached out to Chipotle HQ and a representative told us that the current trajectory for the store has it opening before the end of December.
This is the second Chipotle in Loudoun that we’re aware of with a Chipotlane. It’s a lane where you can pick up orders that you have placed on the company’s mobile app.
But unlike say a McDonald’s or Burger King drive-thru lane — you can’t place an order in a Chipotlane — only pick up previously placed orders.
