New in NoVa: Qata Peruvian offering up fried chicken in Centreville

A new Peruvian fast casual restaurant has opened in Centreville. It’s called Qata Peruvian Cuisine and it has broasted fried chicken on its menu.

As Northern Virginia’s leading fried chicken news source, The Burn knew you would want to know.

Qata debuted in the past couple of weeks at 6065 Centreville Crest Lane, part of the large Centreville Square Shopping Center.

It’s primarily geared for takeaway and delivery orders, with just a few seats for dining in.

The menu at Qata features traditional Peruvian rotisserie chicken as well as sides such as white rice, French fries, yuca fries, fried plantains, and red beans.

They also have a variety of bowls featuring popular items such as Lomo Saltado, Ceviche and Aji de Gallina.

The surprising menu addition (at least to our eyes) is the broasted chicken, a bone-in style of chicken in the vein of traditional fried chicken.

Broasted chicken is usually prepared using a combination of frying and pressure cooking. You can get it in 2, 4, 6, 8, or 12 piece combos with sides. Check out Qata’s full menu online here.

With a slick logo and tidy decor, Qata feels like the type of place that could be launching a future chain. Time will tell.
