A new barbecue restaurant brand from the folks at Great American Restaurants is launching next week here in Northern Virginia — and it originally got its start in Loudoun County.
We’re talking about Stupid Good BBQ, a new fast-casual concept that will debut on Thursday, December 5 in Springfield. The exact address is 6125 Backlick Road — which just sounds like the kind of street you would find a barbecue joint on.
The menu at Stupid Good includes a variety of slow-smoked meats such as brisket, turkey, chicken, pork, spare ribs, and a jalapeño cheddar sausage.
They also have their signature Smashed potatoes — a whole baked potato smashed and loaded with meats and other toppings. You can see Stupid Good’s entire launch menu at the end of this article.
Loudoun residents may recall that Stupid Good was one of the pandemic-born pop-up brands that Great American Restaurants (GAR) featured in their Good Eats restaurant location in Sterling.
Good Eats opened in Loudoun in 2020 with several restaurant concepts under one roof. It closed at the end of 2023.
GAR also owns and operates such brands as Sweetwater Tavern, Coastal Flats, Jackson’s Might Fine Food, Best Buns Bakery & Burgers, and many others.
