It’s still a ways out from becoming a reality, but we have some new details about the Bartaco restaurant headed to Loudoun County.
The Burn first reported on the plans for a Bartaco at One Loudoun in Ashburn back in September. It’s going into a new expansion phase under construction at the popular lifestyle center.
Now, we have gotten some more details about the plans. The Bartaco in Loudoun will be roughly 5,200 s.f. in size. By comparison, the Bartaco location over at the Reston Town Center is about 4,200 s.f. — so the One Loudoun store will be a good bit larger.
We’ve also learned that there will be seating for roughly 168 guests — including in the dining room, at the bar, and on an outside patio.
The Bartaco will be a freestanding building built on a median or island between two streets that will also be lined with restaurants and shops.
According to renderings, there are also plans for an ice skating rink in the winter next door to the Bartaco building. (See image at top of story.)
Bartaco will be joined by other announced new tenants including an Arhaus furniture store, a Van Leeuwen ice cream shop, and a Tatté Bakery & Cafe. There are also plans for a boutique hotel in the new section.
Currently site work is underway on the new phase — meaning the land is being leveled, underground utilities are being put in, and the new road configurations are being laid out. After that, they can start construction on the new buildings.
We haven’t heard any official timeline yet for when the One Loudoun folks expect the work to be done and the new tenants to be ready to open, so stay tuned.
