Report: First Watch planning new Reston location

First Watch — the breakfast- and brunch-focused restaurant chain — continues its march across Northern Virginia with news that a new location in Reston is in the works.

The Washington Business Journal reports that First Watch will be taking the vacant restaurant space at 12192 Sunset Hills Road.

That’s the spot that used to be Carrabba’s Italian Grill before it closed earlier this year.

The menu at First Watch features items popular at breakfast time and brunch time such as egg dishes, waffles and pancakes, salads, and sandwiches, as well as cocktails.

The typical hours of a First Watch are limited to breakfast and brunch hours as well — usually from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

First Watch has already opened two locations in Loudoun County — in Leesburg and South Riding, with a new Sterling store on the way as well.

They also have locations in places like Fairfax, Falls Church, Alexandria, and Chantilly. But the 267 corridor is a bit of a desert for First Watch. The new Reston store will start to address that.

According to the WBJ’s reporting, the roughly 6,500 s.f. restaurant in Reston should open this coming spring.
