We knew work had gotten started on the new First Watch restaurant coming to Sterling, but we didn’t realize they were going to give the exterior an extreme makeover.
As regular readers know, First Watch is moving into the Potomac Run Plaza off Route 7. It’s taking over the space vacated by Outback Steakhouse.
We reported back in November that interior work was underway, and now we see that they are tearing apart the exterior facade and giving the building a whole new look.
The new restaurant will be 6,400 s.f. and include both a dining room and a patio. In total, there will be seating for more than 180 guests.

We checked in with the fine folks at First Watch HQ and they tell us that right now — if everything goes smoothly — they are aiming to open sometime this coming spring.
First Watch is a national chain that specializes in breafast, brunch, and lunch fare. Its hours are usually 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
