South Riding area residents — you’re long wait is almost over. The newest Chipotle Mexican Grill coming to the area has announced its opening date.
According to staffers — and a handy sign on the front door — the popular restaurant chain will open its Dulles Landing store next Friday, December 20.
“Forgive us. This restaurant is not quite ready to open yet,” reads a note on the door that greets would-be customers who show up prematurely. “Come back on 12/20/24 at 10:45 a.m. and we’ll make you that delicious burrito you were craving. We promise it’ll be worth the wait.”
The Chipotle is located in a free-standing building next door to the Walmart store. It includes a “Chipot-lane” — a drive-thru lane where people who pre-order on the brand’s app can pick up their food.
Note: It’s not a traditional drive-thru lane like at McDonald’s. You can’t order food from the drive-thru — only pick it up.
The new Dulles Landing store will be at least the ninth Chipotle in Loudoun County, but most of the others are bunched up around the Route 7 corridor. This is the first one serving southern Loudoun County.
