A new sweet shop is coming to the Reston Town Center. It’s called MidnighTreats and it specializes in plant-based cookies.
MidnighTreats will be taking a small 600 s.f. spot next door to the Playa Bowls restaurant. That’s right by the Fountain Square pavilion and ice skating rink.
There are three MidnighTreats locations currently — one in Arlington, one in Alexandria, and one in Reston at the Plaza America center. That last location will be relocating to the new spot at the RTC.
According to the website, the current line-up of cookies at MidnighTreats includes Gingerbread, Peppermint Bark, Chocolate Chip, The Cinna-Roll, The Brownie Cookie, and Birthday Bash.
And all are made without any eggs, dairy, or other animal products. “Our mission — to end the negative perception around plant based foods by creating fun and exciting treats,” the website reads. “We believe this will lead to a decrease in consumer demand for animal ingredients which will lead to the end of abusive factory farming.”
There’s no official opening date for the new cookie shop yet — the deal is pretty new. But we’re told they are aiming for some time in late Spring 2025.
