After five years in business, a seafood restaurant in Ashburn has called it quits. The Rock N’ Claws restaurant is closed for good.
We’re told the closure happened sometime in the past few weeks. It slipped by The Burn until we spotted the sign being removed today.

Inside, all the furniture has been cleared out and it looks like they are in the final stages of cleaning the place up.
The restaurant originally opened in the Ashburn Village Shopping Center in December 2019 — just months before the pandemic set in. Nevertheless, Rock N’ Claws survived and carried on — until now.
There doesn’t seem to be any official announcement on the door of the restaurant nor on social media. But the Rock N’ Claws Facebook page lists it as “permanently closed” and there is this brief message: “Thank you to all the patrons over the last five years. Until we meet again!”
No word yet on what future tenant might take the nearly 3,200 s.f. unit.
It was previously the Kaiser Austrian Gasthaus, so there is a history of restaurants going into the space. Hopefully something new and interesting will take its place.
