Layne’s Chicken Fingers chooses first Virginia location

The Burn is always interested in new restaurant and retail brands coming into the area and now a growing chicken finger restaurant chain has announced its first location in the commonwealth of Virginia.

Layne’s Chicken Fingers will open its first store in the state in Warrenton. It’s taking a spot at 34 Broadview Avenue in a building that is currently a Burger King that is getting ready to close.

The Burn first reported on Layne’s plans to expand into Virginia back in April 2023.

The company got its start in College Station, Texas back in 1994. It currently has 18 store open or in the works around Texas. It’s also expanding into six other states scattered across the country, including Virginia.

A little inside baseball for anyone who cares: the franchisee bringing Layne’s to the region is reportedly also a franchisee of The Halal Guys restaurant chain. This is not uncommon for people who are in the franchising world. They like to have a variety of different brands in their portfolio. In case any single brand has a downturn, they don’t have all their eggs in one basket.

The new Layne’s in Warrenton is scheduled to open sometime in the first quarter of 2025. No word on where the brand might go next in the state.
