Just a little update for readers today — we’ve learned the exact location that a new Mexican restaurant is taking in Loudoun County.
Back in September, we reported that a restaurant called Plaza Mexico was headed to the Dulles Landing retail center on Highway 50 in south Loudoun.
That’s the Walmart-anchored center near South Riding at 50 and Loudoun County Parkway.
At the time, we speculated that the only logical spot for Plaza Mexico was the former Coal Fire Pizza space.
That roughly 4,000 s.f. space has been empty ever since Coal Fire closed nearly three years ago — in early 2022.
Now, we’ve gotten confirmation that this will indeed be the new home of Plaza Mexico.
The brand has two locations in Frederick, Maryland and now they are crossing the Potomac into Northern Virginia.
No word yet on when Plaza Mexico will open. We’ve got messages in to the corporate folks for more details.
