It looks like a vegetarian restaurant chain is expanding into Northern Virginia. It’s called Saravanaa Bhavan and it specializes in meat-free dishes from southern India.
The Burn has learned that Saravanaa Bhavan has taken a roughly 4,800 s.f. space in the Chantilly Crossing shopping center.
That’s the center with the Costco and the Target just south of Highway 50 off Lee Road.
Saravanaa Bhavan will be located in the same building that is also home to Chipotle, Roaming Rooster, Potbelly, and other businesses.
According to its website, Saravanaa Bhavan currently have locations in New Jersey, New York, Texas, and Connecticut.
The brand bills itself as the “World’s No. 1 Indian Vegetarian Restaurant Chain.”
The menu includes appetizers, dosas, uthappams, curries, thalis, rice dishes, desserts, and much more. They also have dishes the are vegan friendly as well.
The deal to come to Chantilly is brand new. No word yet on when the restaurant might open.
