New Korean BBQ starts soft opening today in Lansdowne

A long-awaiting Korean barbecue restaurant is starting its soft opening today — Thursday, January 9 — in Loudoun County and we have a first look at its menu.

We’re talking about Oseyo Korean BBQ, which is opening this afternoon in the Lansdowne Town Center.

It has taken over the space that was once the French Hound Brasserie, but has been vacant since that establishment closed back in 2019.

The Burn first reported on plans for a Korean BBQ restaurant in the spot back in March 2023, so this project has been in the works for a long time.

At a traditional Korean BBQ restaurant such as Oseyo, the tables come with burners or grills in the center of them and meat is cooked right on the tabletop.

The menu at Oseyo focuses on beef and pork dishes. Sides include such items as Spicy Cold Noodles, Kimchi Pancakes, and Fried Dumplings. You can see the full Oseyo menu below.

The soft opening period is a chance for a restaurant to get its feet wet and make sure its systems are operating smoothly. A grand opening will be scheduled down the line.
