First look at Loudoun’s future Shake Shack restaurant

As most of our regular readers know, Loudoun County is getting its first Shake Shack restaurant — and now The Burn has some new details on the restaurant.

Shake Shack is coming to the Cascades Marketplace shopping center north of Route 7 off Palisades Parkway.

It’s taking the parcel of land that was the longtime home to a McDonald’s restaurant. That Mickey D’s closed last fall.

The vacant building will be torn down and the land cleared to make way for the new Shake Shack building.

The Shake Shack will reportedly be located on the northwest corner of the parcel and have two drive-thru ordering lanes that then merge into one for payment and order pick-up.

The drive-thru set up is reminiscent of what you would see at many of the Chick-fil-A restaurants in the area.

Inside, plans call for a dining room with seating for roughly 36 guests, plus an outdoor patio with another 20 or so seats.

We haven’t seen any official timeline for the project yet. The McDonald’s building was still standing the last time we passed by, so there is a lot of work to do — but things are starting to move. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted.
