At long last, the UP! Ultimate Adventure Park has set an opening date. They’ll start welcoming kids and kids-at-heart alike starting this Sunday, January 19.
The Burn has been reporting on the progress of UP! since we first broke the news back in early 2022. Now, they are ready for action.
UP! is located in the Lexington 7 commercial center off Riverside Parkway. That’s in Ashburn on the north side of Route 7.
The center is located right next door to the Riverside Commons retail center which is the home to Texas Roadhouse, a Sheetz gas station, and a Burger King, among other businesses.
As we showed readers in a sneak peek story back in September, UP! features some amazing climbing wall options, plus a variety of other activities.
There are 36 different themed climbing walls — things like the Big Ben tower in London or the Empire State Building in NYC.
There is a ropes course and zipline and two large “slick slides” that you shoot off of into a giant air cushion. There’s also a cargo net play area, an arcade, plus an onsite cafe.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held this Friday, followed by a private event on Saturday. Sunday will be the first day that the general public can come experience the facility and it will be open on Monday when schools are closed for the MLK Jr. holiday.
