After nearly four decades, Sterling pizzeria closes its doors

A longtime pizza shop and neighborhood restaurant in Sterling is saying goodbye this week. Countryside Cafe & Pizzeria is closing its doors this week.

Located in the Countryside Marketplace shopping center, the restaurant reportedly first opened in the late 1980s. It’s had several owners during its run, and for many years, it was known as Delia’s Pizzeria.

Besides their popular pizzas, Countryside Cafe also served Greek food, burgers, sandwiches, and breakfasts dishes.

Staff members told The Burn that they would likely be open a few days this week as they worked through their remaining food inventory, with a diminishing menu before closing permanently.

No reason for the closure was given and there’s no word on what new tenant might take the approximately 2,300 s.f. endcap unit that the restaurant has long occupied.
