Firehouse Subs shuts down One Loudoun location

A surprising bit of news this morning — the Firehouse Subs sandwich shop at One Loudoun in Ashburn has closed its doors for good.

A passer-by sent us a photo showing a sign on the front door. “We are sorry to inform everyone this location will be closing down,” the message read.

The effective date was this past Saturday, January 18 and it encouraged folks to visit the only other Firehouse location in Loudoun. That store is at the Sugarland Crossing shopping center in Sterling.

The Burn tried calling the store’s phone number for more info, but it is no longer in service. Meanwhile, the shop’s Google and Facebook business listings have its status now listed as “Permanently Closed” and it’s been removed from the One Loudoun website as well.

The closure means there will be two vacancies in adjacent units at One Loudoun — The Meadows Frozen Custard, which is next door to Firehouse, announced its closure in December.

Both spaces are considered prime real estate because they overlook the big public plaza in the center of One Loudoun and are surrounded by other popular restaurants such as &pizza, Nando’s Peri Peri, and Big Buns Damn Good Burgers.
