Opening day getting closer for new IHOP in Purcellville

The much-anticipated IHOP restaurant in Purcellville will be opening soon. We spoke with an IHOP rep who said the current target date is Tuesday, February 25.

The Burn first broke the news about a P’ville IHOP way back in May 2022. That’s how long its been in the works.

It will be located at the Catoctin Corner center — the same center with the 7-Eleven store, the Chipotle, and the upcoming Panera Bread. That’s near the roundabout on Business 7 where it meets 287.

That spot is just a short walking distance for students at Patrick Henry College who might need coffee and sustenance for late night studying.

Construction crews have been busy over the past few weeks, despite the snow and single digit temperatures. The interior is nearly finished and two signs have recently gone up on the exterior.

The restaurant will have seating for 146 customers inside and 32 more on a patio that will open this summer.

Interviews for staff members are currently underway — walk-ins are welcome — and will continue for another few weeks.

“IHOP is thrilled to be a part of the Purcellville community and looks forward to developing relationships and delivering fluffy pancakes with a smile to its new neighbors and guests,” said District Manager Amanda Schmakel.

She said the first 50 guests on opening day will receive a “bounce back” coupon for a free short stack on  their next visit.

While February 25 may be the target, a lot will depend on how the final month of work and store preps goes. So stay tuned.
