A small Northern Virginia-based Mexican restaurant brand is planning its first location in Loudoun County. It’s called Pakos Fresh Mex.
Pakos will be coming to the food court at the Dulles Town Center shopping mall. It’s taking over the kiosk spot that used to be a Popeye’s fried chicken restaurant.
We’re told the folks behind the Pakos brand already have two other restaurants in the region — one appears to be in Alexandria and the other in Woodbridge.
We haven’t seen a full menu yet for Pakos, but they have been operating a Pakos food truck that specializes in birria tacos — so we’re betting those taste treats may be on the menu.
If you’re not familiar with birria tacos, check out the recent story on this food trend from our partners at Ashburn Magazine.
Pakos Fresh Mex is one of three new restaurants setting up shop at the mall’s food court. As The Burn has reported, Sultana Mediterranean recently opened and Desi Chowrastha, an Indian food purveyor, is in the works for the former Chick-fil-A spot.
