It’s been one of the biggest mysteries in Leesburg — but now we know the name of the huge new restaurant planned for the town’s downtown.
For months now, the former Black Shutter antique store building at 102 South King Street has been undergoing a massive renovation to turn it into a brand new restaurant.
The Burn first reported on many of the details back in May 2023 — roughly 8,300 s.f. spread out over two floors. Seating for approximately 250 guests. Multiple dining rooms. A huge bar. An outdoor dining space.
But what had eluded us was the name — until now. We’ve learned it will be called Shutters on King — a reference to the many black shutters on the building’s facade as well as a nice hat tip to the former tenant there.

“Coming in 2025. Where history meets hospitality.” That’s all that it really says so far on the restaurant’s nascent website. But color us excited.
We’ve got messages into to the folks behind Shutters on King for more details. So stay tuned.
