Loudoun’s new CHIKO offers preview ahead of this week’s opening

The first new restaurant in two years in the reborn Cascades Marketplace shopping center is ready to open this week — and The Burn got a sneak peek at what customers can expect.

We’re talking about CHIKO — a local brand that is expanding to the Sterling shopping center with a full service version of its popular Chinese-Korean restaurant.

CHIKO has moved into the spot that was previously a Noodles & Co. The restaurant includes a dining room with waiter service, a full bar, and a spot set aside for takeaway orders.

The CHIKO team held a practice service for friends and families Tuesday evening and The Burn stopped by.

Among the dishes we tried — the House Fried Rice was a universal favorite amongst our party.

Other popular items included the Orange-ish Chicken, the Soy Glazed Brisket, the Garlic Shrimp Dumplings, the Double-Fried Chicken Wings, and the Crispy Chicken Springrolls with a Chinese mustard dipping sauce.

CHIKO is holding its grand opening to the public this Friday, February 7, at 5 p.m. and they will be offerings guests free samples of their popular dumplings.

The buzzy Local Provisions was the first to launch the renaissance of Cascades Marketplace back in early 2023. But now, a slew of new restaurants are on their way.

After CHIKO, we are expecting Brasserie Royale, Taco Bamba, and Shake Shack to all open in the center this year.

A Mezeh Mediterranean Grill is also planned as is a relocated Starbucks with a new drive-thru lane.
