Yum Yum Hibachi, the popular Japanese take-out restaurant in Ashburn, will soon be offering customers the option to dine in — because they are building a new dining room.
Yum Yum opened in June 2023 in the Old Ashburn neighborhood along Ashburn Road. It’s menu specializes in meats and veggies cooked on a hibachi and served on a bowl of rice with various toppings and sauces.
The small restaurant space was added on to a historic building located at the corner of Hay Road and Ashburn Road. The model was focused on take-out or delivery, although they had a few picnic tables outside for use during nice weather.
Now, they are expanding into the adjacent building in order to add a dining room. When complete, there will be room for roughly 30 or so diners.
The work just got started last week, so the timeline to opening the dining room is still a bit hazy, but if all goes smoothly, they are hoping to have it ready by May.
