The new SYN Rooftop Bar & Lounge has announced its opening date in the Reston Town Center development. The big day is this Saturday, March 1.
As readers of The Burn know, SYN is opening on top of the new 16-story AC Hotel & Residence Inn by Marriott.
This double concept hotel is located at 1975 Opportunity Way. That’s in the new RTC Next portion of the Reston Town Center at the intersection of Town Center Parkway and Sunset Hills Road.
A press release says the name SYN comes from a Greek word meaning “together,” but we can’t help but think the similarity to the English word “sin” played a part in the choice.
The menu at SYN will focus on craft cocktails and shared plates. Some of the items on the menu include Wagyu Sliders served with sweet and spicy pickles and coleslaw. They also have Deviled Eggs with caviar and candied onions.
Cocktails include the Gin de Jardin, made with cucumber-infused Beefeater Gin, lime juice, simple syrup, mint and topped with a few drops of sesame oil. You can see the full food and drink menu at SYN here.
SYN’s hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, from 5 p.m. to midnight.
Other new tenants coming to RTC Next include a Yunnan by Potomac upscale Chinese restaurant, a branch of the national Toastique chain, and a new location of the popular Vienna restaurant Clarity. See The Burn’s coverage of these plans here.
