The growing Falafel Inc restaurant brand has staked out a new location in Loudoun County. They will be opening in the One Loudoun center in Ashburn.
Temporary signage has gone up on a roughly 1,400 s.f. space that looks out on the One Loudoun community plaza and splash pad area.
The spot Falafel Inc is apparently taking was previously The Meadows Frozen Custard shop. That shop closed last December and is in the process of moving to a new spot in Reston.
In November, we reported on plans filed with the county for a possible Falafel Inc location in the Ashburn Farm neighborhood. It’s not clear if those plans are still in the works in addition to One Loudoun, or if the company has changed direction and decided on One Loudoun in place of Ashburn Farm.
The menu at Falafel Inc is just what you would think with a name like that. They have a falafel sandwich, a falafel bowl, and a vegan shawarma sandwich. Sauces include habibi, garlic, mazbout, and white.
They also have sides like zaatar fries, hummus, and cucumber salad. You can see the full — and quite succinct — Falafel Inc menu below.
No word on an opening date yet, but the window signs say it will be coming this spring.
