SodayZ Korean BBQ getting ready to debut in Loudoun

A new Korean barbecue restaurant has quietly appeared on the scene in Loudoun County — and it’s about ready to officially hold its grand opening.

The new restaurant is called SodayZ The Korean BBQ and its signs just went up this past week. It’s located in the Cascades Overlook Town Center next door to Burton’s Bar & Grill.

But wait — you might be asking yourself — isn’t that where the similarly themed Kiwa Korean Grill is located? Well, it was — but not any longer.

It turns out the SodayZ team bought the restaurant from the Kiwa folks and they are in the process of transitioning it to the new concept.

It will still have a menu filled with Korean BBQ favorites — and the dining room is still filled with tables featuring a grill in the center of them for cooking meats right in front of the customers, per KBBQ tradition.

SodayZ is looking to have its grand opening in early March, so stay tuned for an update soon.

In the meanwhile, in case you were wondering about that name — SodayZ is pronounced “so day zee” and it combines transliterations of the Korean words for cow (so) and pig (dayZ).
