A Loudoun County purveyor of tacos and other Mexican dishes is opening a new restaurant in downtown Leesburg.
It’s name is Casa de Avila Tacos and it bills itself as offering authentic Mexican home cooking.
Casa de Avila will be taking over the ground floor space that is currently occupied by Trungo’s, an American style eatery that opened in 2015. The exact location is 2C Loudoun Street Southwest.
We have reached out to Trungo’s to find out what is next for them. We’ll report back when we get details.
In the meantime, work has begun on transforming the space into Casa de Avila. They plan to offer a full bar and will have seating for roughly 76 people at the bar and in the dining room.

Casa de Avila has been in business since 2020, operating out of the ChefScape commercial kitchen at the Village at Leesburg.
They’ve mostly been doing carryout, delivery, and catering and have been searching for the right spot to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant to call their own.
The menu at Casa de Avila includes birria tacos, braised pork tacos, fish tacos, and more.
They also have tortas, nachos, quesadillas, sopes, and many other items. You can see the current menu here.
An opening date hasn’t been set yet, but the Casa de Avila team told The Burn they would love to be ready to go by Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) if they can pull it off.
