The much-anticipated EatLoco Open Air Market has an official start date. The first of the weekly markets will debut on Sunday, March 30.
As The Burn reported last October, EatLoco — which sponsors many of the popular farmers markets in the area — is planning a new, expanded market that will take place in the huge parking lot of the Dulles Town Center shopping mall.
The specific spot in outside the JC Penney store. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Open Air Market will feature an expanded line-up of not just artisan and gourmet food vendors, but also craftspeople and small businesses of many different types.
Some of the participants listed so far include:
- Big Face BBQ
- Commando Tea
- Olive Blossom flatbreads
- Marisol Cakes & Sweets
- Morsink Soccer Academy
- Bagel Joy
- Pet Wants Chantilly
- RX Wellness Ashburn

Right now, the new Open Air Market is expected to run every Sunday from the end of March through November, but the folks at EatLoco are exploring the possibility of making it a year around market.
