A new sweet shop specializing in made-to-order cupcakes and various ice cream treats is headed to Loudoun County.
It’s called Lil’ Cakes & Creamery and it will be taking a small, just under 1,000 s.f. space in the Cascades Marketplace shopping center in Sterling.
That’s the same center off Palisade Parkway with the Local Provisions restaurant and the recently opened CHIKO and Taco Bamba restaurants.
The exact spot is the former Parcel Plus unit, located directly behind the Robeks smoothie shop.
According to its website, Lil’ Cakes & Creamery has four locations in Maryland and one in Alexandria. The Sterling location should be No. 6 for the brand.
The menu at Lil’ Cakes includes fresh-baked cupcakes, ice cream made in-house, as well as macarons, brownies and cookies, pushpops, and more. You can see the shop’s menu here.
We’re told that they are aiming for an opening somewhere in the June-July range this summer.
Lil’ Cakes is just the latest tenant for Cascades Marketplace. Others on the way include a French restaurant called Brasserie Royale, a new Mezeh Mediterranean Grill, a drive-thru Shake Shack, a new Starbucks with a drive-thru, a Paris Baguette restaurant, and Activate Games, an entertainment venue with various games for groups to play.
