The Burn always enjoys when local brands launched in Loudoun County start to expand — and the latest example is the crazily named Himalayan Wild Yak.
Area residents may recall that the first Himalayan Wild Yak opened in late 2021 in the Brambleton Town Center in Ashburn.
Specializing in Nepalese cuisine, the restaurant created buzz when a food critic with the Washington Post named it one of his top restaurants.
Now, the owners have officially opened a second Himalayan Wild Yak in Arlington. The address is 1010 North Glebe Road.

Besides the food, the Ashburn location is known for “Rocky,” a real yak (stuffed) that stands sentinel in the lobby of the restaurant.
We checked and a manager told us that another stuffed yak has been ordered for the new restaurant. He wasn’t sure if it would be called, Rocky, Rocky II, or have a different name.
