Nautical Bowls closing its Leesburg store

The Nautical Bowls restaurant at the Lansdowne Town Center has announced that it is closing its doors. The word came via a post shared on social media.

“We would like to thank each and every one of you who have supported us across the last year and a half as the first Nautical Bowls in Northern Virginia,” the store’s team wrote. “We are sad to share that, unfortunately, it’s not sustainable for us and we will be closing March 31st. Please come enjoy your favorite bowl until then.”

Nautical Bowls — which specializes in healthy açai and other fruit bowls — first opened the Lansdowne location in October 2023. It took over a spot that was previously home to a similar concept called Qwench, a juice and smoothie shop.

There is a second Nautical Bowls location in Loudoun County. That one is at the Dulles 28 Centre near Waxpool Road and Pacific Boulevard.

According to the company’s website, the two Loudoun locations are the only ones in the DC market currently, although it shows other locations as “coming soon” including in Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria.
