An Indian restaurant chain called Hyderabad House is planning its first Northern Virginia location in Fairfax County.
Hyderabad House will be taking over the space vacated by the Pho Golden Express restaurant in Fairfax. That’s in the Fairfax Court shopping center off Fairfax Boulevard and Waples Mill Road.
According to its website, Hyderabad House has some 45 locations around the country after originally getting its start in Tampa.
The Burn first reported the brand was looking at Northern Virginia back in 2023 when they announced they would be bringing a Hyderabad House to Ashburn. So far, no word on whether that location has been chosen yet.
Hyderabad features an extensive menu running across multiple pages. Biryani rice dishes are the specialty, but they offer all kinds of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes including dosas, soups, wok-fried noodles, pulavs, and more.
We especially enjoy that they have taken a page from fried chicken joints and offer a bucket of biryani as a menu option.
You can check out the Hyderabad House menu from the Tampa location here. No word yet on when the first local restaurant will open.
The deal to bring Hyderabad House to Fairfax was negotiated by the team at Metropolitan Restaurant Brokers.
