The Bristow-based Ornery Beer Company is working on plans for a new brewpub and restaurant in Herndon.
The Burn has learned that Ornery is planning a spot in the Woodland Park Crossing retail center. That’s just south of 267 near the intersection of Sunrise Valley Drive and Munroe Street.
Ornery has taken a roughly 4,500 s.f. corner unit across the street from the recently opened Meanwhile Coffee shop.
We’re told it’s very early in the process — construction hasn’t even started yet. So at this juncture, there is no official estimate on when the new Ornery will open.
They already have their brewing facility and taproom in Bristow. They also have their Ornery Brewing Company Brewpub in Fairfax, which is a full-service restaurant as well as a venue to try the brand’s beers.
Regular readers may recall Ornery had previously been eyeballing a spot at the Arrowbrook Centre off Centreville Road in Herndon, but ultimately passed on that location.
