New details released on Baba’s Restro & Bar coming to Ashburn

It was just a week ago that The Burn reported on the plans for a new restaurant called Baba Chicken to open in Ashburn. Now we’ve connected with the owner and have a good deal more information.

The official name of the new restaurant will be Baba’s Restro & Bar. It will specialize in Punjabi cuisine.

The local owner – Roby Singh – tells us that his new restaurant is part of the larger Baba Chicken international brand with locations in Dubai and Canada. Now, it’s coming to the US.

“I’ve always wanted to introduce real Punjabi flavors to Ashburn and the surrounding areas,” said Singh, a longtime Ashburn resident.

Baba Chicken is known for its signature Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Mutton Curries, and other Punjabi delicacies.

There will be seating for 30 guests in the dining room at the local Baba location, which will be located in the Ashburn Farm Market Center. That’s the Giant-anchored center off Ashburn Farm Parkway.

It has taken the spot previously occupied by the Mirazaan Cuisine restaurant.

Singh says the current target for opening the new spot is the last week in April.
