Work is well underway on the upcoming fourth Bkd Bagels restaurant in Loudoun County. This latest location is going to be in the Brambleton neighborhood in Ashburn.
It was a little over a year ago that The Burn first reported on Bkd Bagels’ plans. They announced they would open in the Brambleton Corner Plaza center off Northstar Boulevard.
Now, work crews have been working on “roughing out” the building (putting in plumbing, electrical, and so forth) and the interior walls are starting to go up in the roughly 2,900 s.f. space.
We checked in with the team at Bkd and they tell us they are hoping to have construction wrapped up sometime in May — and then they hope to open a few weeks after that.
So bottom line – current timeline to opening is sometime in late May or June – if everything continues to go smoothly.
Bkd Bagels is based in Leesburg and already has two locations there, plus one in Purcellville. The Brambleton spot is their first in Ashburn.
