Excitement is building for the upcoming Shutters on King restaurant and bar that will be opening later this year in downtown Leesburg.
And now the folks behind the project have shared some artist renderings from Koos Design showing what the place will look like when it opens.
The images show a space akin to rustic inn meets colonial tavern – with lots of bookshelves, exposed brick, fireplaces, wooden furniture, and the like.

Sitting at the prime corner of South King Street and Loudoun Street, Shutters on King will feature multiple dining spaces as well as outdoor patios and a large bar area.
The restaurant will serve up classic American cuisine, but promises to “redefine” it with new takes on old favorites. No other specifics about the menu have been released yet.

The historic building where they are currently building the restaurant is known for the black shutters that grace its windows, ergo the name Shutters on King. Indeed, a previous tenant in the building was the Black Shutter antique store.
The Burn will keep following the progress of the restaurant and report back here with new details.
