The Taco Shop is headed to Loudoun County

A new Mexican restaurant and bar is coming to Loudoun County. We’re told it will be called simply The Taco Shop.

The team behind The Taco Shop has signed a lease for the former Neighbors Sports Bar & Grill spot in Ashburn’s Broadlands neighborhood. Neighbors closed its doors late last year.

The exact address is 42882 Truro Parish Drive. That’s right by the much-loved Cafe Opera Chinese restaurant and the Broadlands Brickoven Pizzeria.

The deal was sealed by the team from Metropolitan Restaurant Brokers.

The Taco Shop will be what’s being billed as a “fast casual taqueria” with “classic Mexican dishes” but with a little reinvention. We’re talking items such as enchiladas, fajitas, ceviches, and – of course – tacos.

The former Neighbors spot in Ashburn that will become The Taco Shop.

There will also be a bar and the plan is to use fresh ingreidents such as fresh-squeezed juices in cocktails like margaritas, palomas, micheladas, and more.

They also plan to offer tequilas and mezcals, plus a long list of Mexican beers.

Five brothers are the folks behind The Taco Shop. They all worked previously for the Great American Restaurants company (Sweetwater Tavern, Jackson’s Mighty Fine Food, Coastal Flats, etc.) and now have their own company.

They’ve operate a food truck called Don Sebas Taqueria which has frequented many LoCo breweries, wineries, and events. And they have two brick-and-mortar locations – a Don Sebas Taqueria in Woodbridge, and the Helenas Mexican Restaurant in Alexandria.

Now, they are headed to Ashburn. We’re told the target for opening should be sometime around the start of June.
