New pizza shop Slice Theory opening soon in Loudoun

A new pizza shop in Loudoun County is hopefully just days away from opening – and we’ve got a first look at its unique science-themed menu.

The name of the new restaurant is Slice Theory. It’s taking over the space at the Ashburn Ice House that was recently vacated by Rai’s Pizza in a deal put together by Metropolitan Restaurant Brokers.

Rai’s Pizza moved up the street and will be operating from the space of its sister restaurant, Rai’s Rendezvous.

In our initial report on this pizza swaparoo, we called it Pizza Theory. That was a bit of bad information and we subsequently learned the correct name is Slice Theory.

“Slice Theory is a science-inspired pizza concept my partner Rob and I are launching inside the Ashburn Ice House,” co-founder Sidd Maharjan told The Burn. “Rob’s a pizza wizard with over 20 years of experience crafting pies that people crave, and I’ve been driven by a vision to create a brand that’s fast, elevated, and memorable… our pizza names borrow from the language of science, but the food is all heart.”

The debut menu at Slice Theory includes a list of curated New York-style pizza pies, as well as salads, several hot and cold sandwiches, sides, and desserts. You can see the full menu below.

Maharjan tells us they are hoping to be ready to open their doors as soon as the next week or so. Stay tuned for the official date.
