The folks at Frye’s Famous Crab Cake Co. have provided an update on the progress of the new location they are building in Ashburn. The current target is a May opening.
You may recall that Frye’s first announced plans for a spot at the Ashburn Eats restaurant center back in January.
Ashburn Eats is located on Waxpool Road and is home to a Moe’s Southwest Grill, a Five Guys hamburger joint, a Santini’s New York Style Deli, and other restaurants.
Frye’s is taking over the space vacated by the Frito Chicken restaurant when it closed earlier this year.
The Burn took a peek in the window and some decorations have started to go up on the walls. We also saw lots of boxes, undoubtedly filled with equipment and fixtures.
Frye’s had previously announced plans for an April opening – always a risky move in the restaurant business because there are often delays beyond the control of the operators – permits, inspections, etc.
Now, they are hoping to be ready in May. We’ll keep our collective fingers crossed for them and keep you posted.
