Wow. That’s about all we can say after getting a tour of the under-construction Hotel Burg project that is coming to downtown Leesburg. The scope is unlike anything else in the area.

As The Burn first reported last fall, Hotel Burg will feature a luxury boutique hotel, a gourmet restaurant called Huntōn, a beautiful bar called The Diana Lounge, plus a private members-only social club named The Chase.
The Chase includes access to a private speakeasy bar, a fitness center, a co-working space, and an incredible rooftop bar and lounge.
Developer Kevin Ash took us through the property which is themed to Loudoun’s tradition and history of hunting.
Our first stop was The Diana Lounge – named for Diana, the goddess of the hunt. With two-story tall ceilings, the lounge will have a full bar and also serve tapas-style dishes and small plates.

One fun note – a large statue of Diana has been commissioned and will sit just outside a window in the lounge, illuminated in a small alcove.
From there, we moved on to the Huntōn restaurant, which will have both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a private chef’s table. Altogether, the restaurant will be able to seat 114 guests.

Both The Diana Lounge and the Huntōn will be open to the general public.
Next we stopped by the basement where there is a fitness room, sauna, and changing rooms under construction.
There will also be a hidden door that leads into secret speakeasy lounge. This will be for club members only and feature a bar and a light menu.

Upstairs, a large portion of the second floor is also devoted to the private club. It includes a co-working space with a library, meeting rooms, private offices and more.
At 5 p.m., the lights dim, the music changes, and the co-working space will become another lounge for club members with a bartender rolling a bar cart around. There is also a good-sized private event space in this area.
The other half of the second floor – as well as the third and fourth floors are devoted to the guest rooms for the Hotel Burg. There will be 39 rooms in total, including eight elegant suites.

The rooftop is the space that will really knock your socks off.
With an incredible view looking over downtown Leesburg, there will be a large fountain-like water feature, chaise lounges for relaxing, a fire pit, and a full bar serving cocktails and small plates – just like The Diana Lounge on the first floor.

The rooftop will only be available to hotel guests and members of The Chase private club. Memberships are available now.
Right now, Ash tells us they are aiming for an August grand opening if everything stays on track. And they have already started taking reservations for hotel rooms.
