The May issue of Ashburn Magazine is hitting the streets this week and with it – the results of the annual Best of Ashburn contest.
More than 70,000 votes were cast in categories such as Favorite Pizza Restaurant, Favorite Coffee Shop, Favorite Local Celebrity, Favorite Landscaper, Favorite Ashburn Park, and many more.
Other stories in this issue include a look at the husband-and-wife team behind Ashburn’s favorite auto repair shop and why his model-like good looks have become part of the local buzz.
There’s also a feature on an Ashburn family that built a pickleball court in their backyard – only to see it have a bigger impact than they ever imagined.
Plus, the magazine sits down with Ashburn Pub owner Kevin Bednarz to look back at the bar’s 30-year history in the community.
And learn about a well-known artist from more than a century ago who called Ashburn home, visit the iFly indoor skydiving facility to see how they are helping educate area kids, and meet a local author whose unique voice has captured the attention of literary agents.
