Crimson Coward hot chicken planning first Loudoun location

It looks like the Crimson Coward Nashville Hot Chicken restaurant chain has chosen its first Loudoun County location.

According to commercial real estate documents, Crimson Coward is going to take a 1,700 s.f. space at the Bellewood Commons retail center in Leesburg.

That’s the center at the corner of East Market Street and Plaza Street that is also home to the Orangetheory gym, The Melt burger joint, and the Dunkin’ doughnut shop.

Regular readers of The Burn may recall our previous reporting on Crimson Coward and how the hot chicken brand has been making a big push into Northern Virginia.

The brand already has five locations in greater NoVa plus several more in nearby Maryland. It also has locations in California, Texas, Michigan, and Washington state.

The menu at Crimson Coward is centered around hot chicken, including hot chicken tenders and hot chicken sandwiches.

They also offer the amazing looking “Joey Eats Fries” which is boneless chicken breast, slaw, pickles, and sauce on a bed of French fries.

Other items on the menu include chicken and waffles, and the Crimson battered onion. You can see the full Crimson Coward menu below.

No word yet on when the planned Leesburg location might open. We’ve got messages in to the Crimson Coward HQ for more details.

It’s also worth noting the new location would be almost directly across the street from the Leesburg Hangry Joe’s location – another hot chicken concept that opened there in 2023. We love the idea of dueling hot chicken restaurants.
