Let There Be Rock music school opens in Leesburg

A new music school aimed at budding rock stars has opened its doors in Leesburg. It’s called Let There Be Rock and it’s part of a small national chain.

Let There Be Rock has taken a space at 34 Catoctin Circle SE in Suite E. That’s part of the Virginia Village center. (Yes, another part of VV has been razed for redevelopment, but the many businesses in the Eastern half are still open and operating.)

The school offers music and instrument instruction for all ages, including in vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards, drums, bass guitar, and ukulele.

Students can join a band and put on live shows. There will also be camps for students this summer.

According to the Let There Be Rock website, there are locations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas, and California. The Leesburg school is the first one in Virginia.

A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Saturday, May 31.
