More than four years ago, a fire ripped through the Yummy Pig BBQ restaurant in downtown Leesburg. Ever since, local residents have been waiting to see what new tenant would fill the vacant space – and now we know.

The refurbished building on West Market Street will become the new headquarters for the Loudoun Credit Union sometime this coming fall.
In January, 2021, when the fire originally closed Yummy Pig – as well as the Wild Geese Pub on the second floor – the owners anticipated reopening in the same spot.
A Yummy Pig sign in the window said “We’ll be back” and the rebuilding was expected to take about six months.
But those six months dragged on for years as construction work seemed to happen in fits and starts. Eventually it became clear that Yummy Pig wasn’t returning.

Now, the entire space – nearly 6,000 s.f. – will become the new home of the Loudoun Credit Union, which is moving downtown from its current spot out near the airport on Sycolin Road.
