Ashburn teen competes on new season of “American Ninja Warrior”

The latest season of “American Ninja Warrior” debuts this evening on NBC and an Ashburn teenager is among the competitors.

This is the second time Austin Baron, 19, has appeared on the show which features contestants competing in an obstacle course that requires speed, strength, agility, and perfect timing to compete.

Baron – who graduated from Stone Bridge High School and just finished his freshman year at Notre Dame – is a young man with a lot of spirit.

At age 12, he started an organization called Knot Perfect that makes and sells dog toys in order to raise money to combat hunger in Northern Virginia.

He sees appearing on “American Ninja Warrior” as a valuable platform to raise awareness.

“I compete on the show to advocate for an end to world hunger and to raise funds for Loudoun youth who are hoping to pack their 1,000,000th meal together in Ashburn this year,” he said.

Season 17 debuts at 8 p.m. this evening, Tuesday, June 2. Baron also competed on Season 15.
