The Goose Creek Village shopping center in Ashburn is getting two new tenants, The Burn has learned.
Goose Creek is the retail and residential development found at the corner of Belmont Ridge Road and Sycolin Road.
Ignite the Light – a local performing arts schools – will be taking more than 5,000 s.f. on the center’s north side on the lower level facing Sycolin. That spot was previously occupied by a ballet academy.
Ignite the Light was one of several new enterprises that grew out of last year’s closure of the Studio Bleu Dance Center in Ashburn.
Teacher Tina Smothers launched Ignite the Light as a new home for students interested in the performing arts. The school has used several different temporary locations over the past year, but with some 90 families now enrolled, they are opening their own studio at Goose Creek.
The other new tenant coming to the center is a PostNet store. PostNet is a national brand offering design, printing, and shipping services, similar to a UPS Store.
It appears that PostNet will be going into a spot on the center’s north side, on the upper level in a spot previously occupied by a Massage Envy location.
