Lots of passersby in the Broadlands area of Ashburn have been wondering what was going on with the plans for a new restaurant named RIZQ.
Back in March, signs went up on a vacant building at 42864 Truro Parish Drive announcing a new restaurant called RIZQ was on the way. That spot is the former home of the Good Fortune Chinese restaurant.
But then, in just the past couple of weeks – all the RIZQ signs around the building disappeared.
Based on the number of emails we got, folks in the area were left confused. But now The Burn has the answer to the mystery.
There were plans for a restaurant called RIZQ to open at the spot, but the folks behind those plans changed their minds. Instead, they are opening the second location of an existing restaurant concept that they already operate.
The new tenant coming to Truro Parish will be called Spice Circle. The first Spice Circle is located in Falls Church.
“We bring you the best of Indian and Pakistani flavors blended seamlessly with American favorites,” the website reads. “Our 100% halal menu boasts a tantalizing array of dishes that cater to both traditionalists and those seeking a fusion twist.”
Much of the refurbishment work inside the restaurant building has already been done. A peek in the windows shows a nicely appointed dining room.
Right now, the Spice Circle team tells us they are aiming for an August opening if all goes smoothly.
The menu at Spice Circle includes kabab platters, curries, naans, and more. You can see the full menu below.
